College Counselor


Jennifer Hoang is a certified counselor through the state of New York who specializes in social/emotional counseling with school-aged children (pre-k thru grade 12) and college counseling. Jennifer adapts various therapeutic approaches catering to the individual needs of her clients including Person Centered Therapy and Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT). She also utilizes reflective therapeutic processes when conducting college counseling with adolescent clients to work towards self-discovery and pursuit of higher education.

Having resided in Kuwait for four years, Jennifer has a plethora of experience as a school counselor for middle/high school students, as well as a college counselor for the international application process. Prior to moving to Kuwait, she spent several years working with elementary students with learning differences. For her field experience during her graduate program, she focused on group counseling and college counseling in two different private schools in New York City, one of which she was offered a college counseling position thereafter. In addition, Jennifer has been sought for private college consultation both in the United States and Kuwait where she provides one-on-one support through the entire application process.
